eFlow is the new Barrier-Free Tolling system which will operate on the M50 from 30th August 2008. Overhead cameras and detectors will automatically record your electronic tag or vehicle number plate. This system will enable you to pass through the toll at the legal speed limit.
Advantages:
Faster journey time through M50 / No delays or queues at toll booth / No cash needed.
Disadvantages:
Increased toll charges and account management fees to use M50.
Larger administration for fleets.
Poor appeals system for wrongly charged toll.

Tag registration: register to buy or lease a tag. Tags are non transferable .Administration fees apply.
Alternative Approved Tag Providers: ETrip, Toll Tag, Easy Pass, Pass Direct and Eir tag.
Fees: € 0. 50 to € 1.00 per month per vehicle –post paid account.
Video registration: Setting up a vehicle number plate based payment account which will be debited for each journey you make.
No fees but 25% higher toll charges – post paid account. |
